Not exactly. I'm pretty sure Obama cut the bonuses of corporate execs this year, so you're salary, in fact, has been halved. Merry Christmas!

Happy Anniversary!!!! Dooo keep up the good work. The blog, along with the comments, help keep us closer to home these months we are far away. I have also learned some things. What? I am not sure, but I do feel enriched.

Where has the last year gone? It has gone swifter for Sue’s clever commentary to be sure. Every new blog is a new adventure I await with anticipation. What will she bring to light this time? Will it be the tempting aroma of a meal written in words or the hapless harping of dogs gone bad? Will it be denouncing the derelicts in our political word or Sue singing the praises of her good fortune of me? Every new blog is an opportunity to go “hmmm”. Some I am swift to respond to and some I feel need no response, they couldn’t be said any better. I look forward to the sophomore year, although if this was Sue’s rookie year we are in for one heck of a ride! (See, Sue, I didn’t swear and I really wanted to.)

You live in the Arizona desert. Not a great locale for fresh fruit and vegetables. Although you could pick a grapefruit off your neighbor's tree and that would be the epitome of local, organic, and thrifty!
